On April 17, Governor Abbott issued Executive Order GA-15, which extended the ban on non-emergency procedures from the original May 1^st date to May 8^th.  While there are some exceptions to this new date—like procedures that don’t diminish hospital capacity or don’t use PPE, the TSBDE has issued guidelines stating that dental offices are not “licensed health care facilities” for the purposes of the exception.  Therefore, May 9^th is the new best case date to reopen to non-emergency procedures.  TSBDE FAQ link can be found here: http://tsbde.texas.gov/78i8ljhbj/FAQ-for-GA-15.pdf
