Confirmed:  In a press briefing 3/17/20, Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said that individual taxpayers who owe up to a million dollars in federal taxes can defer paying until July 15, 2020.  Per Mnuchin, “All you have to do is file your taxes – you’ll automatically not get charged interest and penalties.”  Please note there is no indication penalties for late filing would be waived, so existing deadlines of 4/15 with an extension to 10/15/20 are still in place.
