RT Edwards & Associates PC (www.eandassociates.com) is a CPA firm in the business of serving dentists by providing a full range of services. We are seeking candidates for the position of Staff Accountant. Duties to include:

  • Possess or develop the ability to prepare individual income tax returns, small business income tax returns and state income tax returns to completion.

  • Possess or develop knowledge of Lacerte tax accounting software.

  • Possess or develop the ability to prepare sales tax returns, business personal property tax returns and other state tax returns.

  • Identify and assist team with implementation of tax planning/tax saving strategies.

  • Enter bank and credit card transactions into accounting software and prepare bank and credit reconciliations.

  • Handle full-service personal and business bookkeeping clients.

  • Possess or develop knowledge of Creative Solutions and QuickBooks accounting software and be able to set up accounting systems using both.

  • Prepare payroll on behalf of clients, including calculation of payroll tax deposits needed to satisfy deposit liability.

  • Prepare annual W-2’s and 1099’s and the related W-3’s and 1096’s.

  • Utilize Excel to prepare spreadsheets for analysis of selected client accounts or data.
